On the 20th June 2010 around 40 yachts will race the 30th Bi-Annual Round Ireland Yacht Race, Sailing West has entered two yachts, each yacht has a professional skipper and first mate.
The crew on these yachts will be partaking in all levels of this yacht race their positions include: Bow, Mast, Pit, Trim, Main, Helm, Tactics & Nav – the yachts will be pushed to their maximum 24 hrs a day until they cross the finish line in Wicklow.
No-one on either boat has competed in this race before. The majority of the crew are new to racing and have undergone Sailing West’s Offshore Race Training programs to prepare them for this race.
